Creative Me!

Okay, I've just uploaded another three paintings. Just for something completely different, they're frangipani!! The set of three are quite small measuring 8" x 8", 4" x 4" and 6" x 4". Quite sweet and I paint quite a few of them. Great gift for someone visiting Norfolk; a Norfolker visiting another country; a housewarming; a birthday ~ actually ~ for anything! I've received a few commissions for them in specific colour schemes and tones. All commissions graciously received.

Hi and Bye, July

At our Blogging Workshop, one of the things that we were told is VERY important, is to frequently update your blog. Hmm. Last updated 29 June. If I wait until next Friday I could be a whole month behind! I've been to Darwin for a quick trip and as on past visits, I found it very inspirational. Darwin has many gallery's and art is everywhere. I purchased a painting by Northern Territorian artist Kit McNeil, which is a beautiful scene of the sea, waves and rocky shoreline with a MAGNIFICENT pool with reflection. Stunning. A very happy birthday present to myself. I've come home all enthusiastic for a new exhibition at Studio 123. Again, mostly flowers and again, mostly frangipani. I'm also getting alot of pleasure painting small canvas's and creating art whimsy. As Charlie said in Two and a Half Men, "..we can all stand a little whimsy!" I'm adding some older paintings and will upload my more recent paintings, after the exhibition which I'm hoping will be sometime in August. I would also like to exhibit pieces created by other Island artists. We have so many talented people here on Norfolk.
