Yellow roses and Master Kathumi

There are several magnificent yellow rose bushes in the garden and I was moved one afternoon to paint them. The outcome was very large roses on a very large canvas painted with very large brushes. The energies of the Ascended Master, Lord Kathumi is very evident in this painting. It makes you smile, with very little effort.

Phillip Island and Frangipanis

As I said earlier, I can try very hard to move away from the beautiful flower of the frangipani tree, but I still return. Philip Island is all encompassing from my home on the clifftop of the southern end of the island. It doesn't matter where you look, Philip looms with her energies of ancient wisdom. Evidently my grandmother, who also lived at Flagstaff, was an artist and often painted the island. How can you not, when it's everywhere, you look! So. I've painted Philip and guess what? Yep. I've added frangipani!!!!!

Moving into yellow

Ha! ...and I've done it, all by my little self!
Sometimes, I find that it's the colours that drive the painting. This session was obviously a yellow time and the influence of the sunny colours of summer are very strong. I've uploaded the iris horizontally and as soon as I can find a mentor I'll try my best to turn it around, right side up!
and as I said, the next paintings were again, frangipanis. There are many beautiful flowers and wonderful views to paint on this island, but the flowering frangipani just seems to call me.

Other than frangipani's in Art

The Chinese say that we need three things for art: head, hands and heart. My head and hands can paint almost anything, but my heart will continually come back to frangipanis. Sometimes, it will allow a detour and I want to share some of these with you, because my next post will most likely be...... frangipanis......

More paintings.....

It's time to add more paintings of the wild and beautiful tropical flowers of Norfolk Island. Their vibrancy astounds the visitors who come to our island, and hopefully, my paintings will give you a taste of their glorious colours.
